Gulmarg, meaning “Meadow of Flowers,” is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kashmir and a year-round paradise for nature lovers, honeymooners, adventure enthusiasts, and families. Located approximately 50 km from Srinagar in the Baramulla district of Jammu & Kashmir, Gulmarg is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, snow-covered mountains, lush green meadows, and world-famous skiing slopes.

Surrounded by the majestic Pir Panjal Range, Gulmarg offers spectacular views in every season. During spring and summer, the meadows bloom with colorful wildflowers, while winter transforms the destination into a snow-covered wonderland, attracting skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts from around the world.

One of Gulmarg’s biggest attractions is the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world. The gondola takes visitors to Kongdoori Station and Apharwat Peak, where they can enjoy panoramic Himalayan views, snow activities, skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and photography. Even during summer, snow can often be experienced at Apharwat Peak.

Gulmarg is also home to one of the world’s highest 18-hole golf courses, making it a favorite destination for golf enthusiasts during the warmer months.
